Nasi Lemak. ("FatRice")

NASI LEMAK. THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD IN MALAYSIA. THE MOST COMMON AND POPULAR FOOD IN MALAYSIA. THE NATIONAL DISH OF MALAYSIA. So, WHAT IS IT?

Nasi lemak is a Malay traditional food. It consists of fragrant rice dish cooked in coconut milk and "pandan" leaf. It is accompanied by hard boiled egg, cucumbers, anchovies and nuts, and "sambal." Sambal is a chili-based sauce popular in  Malaysia, and are typically made from a variety of Chilli peppers.

Its name in Malay "Nasi Lemak" means "fatty rice" in English, but is taken in this context to mean "rich" or "creamy".

As you can see our URL is fatricetourism, and this is inspired by "Nasi Lemak."! Now for PICTURES!!!

You can even find this traditional "Nasi Lemak" at the side of the road! It is commonly sold at RM 1.20 a packet! :)
